2010 Loess Hills Motorcycle Rally – About the Rally
Come out to the biggest biker party in Omaha and southwest Iowa!
It’s the 11th annual Loess Hills Motorcycle Rally, Friday – Sunday, September 10th, 11th and 12th at the Rolling Thunder Drag Strip of Mid America Motorplex.
This is your weekend to get loud surrounded by brassy bikes, fast racing and live rock n’ roll!
FRIDAY EVENING:
Pro bikers can test and tune for the weekend’s AMRA races. Plus, “Run Whatcha Brung” with your hot rod or bike on Rolling Thunder’s fast and sticky eighth mile track. Gates open at 6:00PM with racing, vendors, food, beer and live music.
Admission is only $5 with kids 12 and under free. Or, buy a Rally weekend pass for just $20. Camping is always free!
The Loess Hills Rally recognizes the eighth anniversary of the nation’s greatest tragedy. Friday you can ride your motorcycle around the Mid America Motorplex 2.23 mile road course for the 9/11 Remembrance Lap.
SATURDAY:
It's AMRA and NHRA racing all day—all makes, all models and all classes. Watch Qualify and Gamblers racing with a 50 car shootout awarding big cash prizes. Gates open 8:00AM and admission is $10 with kids 12 and under and camping free.
The 10th Annual Loess Hills Rally Poker Run by Abate of Iowa goes out Saturday morning with cash for top winners and proceeds going to the Veterans Foundation’s cause of post-traumatic stress disorder.
The fun continues Saturday at the Loess Hills Rally with more live bands, a biker rodeo produced by the Western Iowa American Legion Riders, ATV Drag Wars, vendors, food, beer and a huge fireworks show that night.
New to the Loess Hills Motorcycle Rally this year is the Big Twin Showdown sponsored by Dingman’s Collision Center. Your big twin bike may look great—but does it have balls?! Let’s find out. Enter your cool custom bike into the Big Twin Showdown for $30. On Saturday morning three judges will look over and critic all the bikes. Then each big twin can take three runs down the eighth mile Rolling Thunder track. A points system will determine the best look and fastest big twin around!
Cash and trophies are awarded to top winners.
The Big Twin Showdown has two classes:
• Street tire/gas in any cubic inch
• Slick tire/wheelie bar in any cubic inch.

SUNDAY:
AMRA and NHRA bike and car Gambler racing goes on all day. Enjoy some top fuel action, ATV Drag Wars, vendors, food and beer. Admission is $10 with 12 years and under for free.
